ENCOUNTER curated exhibition

Curated in collaboration with a glass artist, "Encounter" is a travelling exhibition that is about how we see rather than what we see. By encapsulating small sections of everyday life, the goal of the exhibition is to reveal the hidden and extraordinary by encouraging people to become aware of their surroundings. Instead of bringing precious objects into the museum, this exhibition takes museum strategies into the world at large.

In an effort to revitalize and reframe the way people see the area they are inhabiting, small glass domes are placed all over the city.
Each one covers a fragment of the environment and is labled by an evocative word or phrase. By blurring the distinction between art and life, "Encounter" is a small gesture that illuminates the large truth that all life encounters are esethetic experiences.

Print work includes posters, exhibition announcements, maps and an exhibition catalogue.
